Calico hooks up with Imagination Factory

Calico Entertainment and the Imagination Factory have formed a partnership to create, produce and merchandise new and existing properties for movies, TV series and interactive electronic entertainment.

Their first joint effort is a half-hour animated special –“What Could Possibly Go Wrong?” featuring videogame character Bubsy Bobcat — to be distributed by Bohbot Communications as part of its “Kid’s Day Off” package for Thanksgiving ’93.

Calico, a supplier of animation, special effects and computer graphics, has been involved in such programs as Zodiac Entertainment’s “The Mr. Bogus Show” and “Widget.” The company is currently producing a special based on “The Moo Family,” created by company prez Tom Burton, to follow a Christmas ’92 spec.

The Imagination Factory, headed by Stanford Blum, specializes in licensing, promotion and marketing in addition to film and TV production. It’s developing a telefilm on the murder of actor Bob Crane.
