The homevid bow of “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” will be given a $ 16 million rollout by FoxVideo, which will team with three major sponsors for the July 27 sell-through release.

The videocassette will be priced at $ 24.98 suggested retail, with a $ 5 rebate available.

Quaker Oats’ Life cereal, American Airlines and Mattel’s AVIVA Sports will be part of the ad campaign, to be launched on street date and followed by a holiday television blitz. FoxVideo broadcast and print ads will begin in July and continue through the holidays.

FoxVideo and Quaker Oats will offer consumers the $ 5 mail-in rebate with every vidcassette purchase.

Mattel is offering a mail-in rebate of up to $ 20 in discounts on 10 of their most popular sports toy products with a video purchase.

American Airlines will offer a discount of up to $ 100 per ticket to consumers on domestic and European excursion fares with the purchase of “Home Alone 2.”

The video release will begin with a musicvid promoting the “Home Alone Christmas Album.”
