Virgin: Never on a Sunday

A French appeals court upheld a lower court’s decision to impose a fine on Virgin Group PLC if it opens its Virgin Megastore in Paris Sundays, but the appeals court lowered the fine to 1 million francs a day from 4 million francs.

Virgin, which has been battling for Sunday operation for two years, has sparked a nationwide debate about Sunday restrictions.
