Iwerks Entertainment has filed a registration statement with the Securities & Exchange Commission for an initial public offering of 2.4million common shares with an estimated price range of $ 10 to $ 12 a share.
The company is offering 2 million shares; 400,000 will be offered by stockholders.
Robertson, Stephens & Co. L.P. and Salomon Brothers Inc. are managing the underwriting, the company said.
Iwerks produces movie-based specialty theaters. The company said its products combine advanced theater technologies with entertainment or educational films.
The company said it will use proceeds from the offering for film software production, funding of its Cinetropolis strategy (a movie-based entertainment center that will combine the company’s attractions with themed restaurants and specialty retail concepts), and for general corporate purposes.
