Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette analyst Mark Manson downgraded the Walt Disney Co. shares rating to “moderately attractive” from “buy” mainly on a price basis.

Manson says the stock, which closed at $ 43 at year-end and hit a 52-week high of $ 45.25 on Dec. 29, had nearly reached his target price of $ 45 to $ 50 in recent weeks.

Disney shares closed down 25 cents to $ 42.75 on NYSE-composite volume of 1. 15 million shares compared with average daily volume of 1.3 million.

Intl. Family Entertainment Inc. is extending the termination time and date of its present consent solicitation of its stockholders to 5 p.m. EST, Monday, from noon yesterday.
