Thelma Orloff, an MGM contract player, died Nov. 23 in Los Angeles of kidney failure.

She was 76.

Joining MGM after graduating from Hollywood High, Orloff’s credits included “The Broadway Melody” and “The Harvey Girls.” She also worked in the RKO film “My Favorite Wife.” In 1944 she married screenwriter Arthur Orloff.

In later years Orloff became one of the leading real estate brokers in California, specializing in the multimillion-dollar estates in Holmby Hills and BevHills.

She is survived by her husband and daughter Katherine.
