Stephen Burks, actor, died Nov. 26 at his home in Los Angeles of unspecificed causes. He was 36.

A graduate of Boston U., Burks appeared on Broadway in “Division Street.”

He also appeared in “Our Country’s Good,””Guns” and “Concrete Dreams” at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. Most recently he was seen in the Shakespeare Festival LA’s 1992 production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

His TV work included appearances on “Tour of Duty,””St. Elsewhere” and “Cheers.” He had a recurring role on CBS’ “Murphy Brown.”

He is survived by his mother, Marion Burks Moffitt; his father, Benjamin Burks; and brothers and sisters Veronica, Terry, Shelita, Benjamin and John. He is also survived by a stepmother, stepfather and grandmother.

The funeral will be held today at 10 a.m. at Angelus Mortuary in Los Angeles. There will be a memorial service at 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Fountainhead Theatre in Hollywood.
