R&C ups Kagan to exec veep

Cheryl J. Kagan has been promoted to executive VP, entertainment, at Rogers & Cowan.

In her new post, Kagan, who most recently was senior VP, entertainment, will continue to direct the operational and creative activities of the agency’s arts and entertainment division.

She also will continue to be a member of Rogers & Cowan’s management committee and will play an active role in expanding the company’s entertainment practice.

Kagan, who joined Rogers & Cowan as an account executive in the entertainment area in 1981, was promoted to manager of entertainment in 1983. She was named vice president in 1985 and was promoted to her recent post of senior VP in 1988. Kagan’s clients include Cybill Shepherd, Kenny Rogers, Bruce Boxleitner and Treat Williams. Before joining Rogers & Cowan, Kagan worked as manager of client relations for ABC-TV News and Sports.
