Phillips moves to pic lit at MTA

Former Beckner-Gorman Prods. production veepee David Phillips has joined the motion picture literary department of the Metropolitan Talent Agency.

The moves marks a re-entry into the agency business for Phillips, who worked as an assistant to ICM executive VP Jack Gilardi and motion picture literary head Steve Rabineau early in his career.

Beyond the credentials from Beckner-Gorman, which produced TriStar’s upcoming Feb. 5 release “Sniper,” Phillips has worked at Vestron Pictures under Strauss Zelnick and as director of production for New Regency Films under president Steve Reuther.
