Michael Tadross has been named senior VP, features production, for Paramount Pictures’ Motion Picture Group. Tadross replaces Debra Hill, who exited the post in April.
Tadross will be responsible for all aspects of physical production, production finance and estimating for Paramount’s feature releases.
Tadross most recently served as co-producer with Motion Picture Group chairman Sherry Lansing on Par’s upcoming “Indecent Proposal.” Before that, he also served as associate producer and production manager on the Jaffe/Lansing production of Par’s “School Ties.”
In a statement released yesterday, Motion Picture Group/Production president John Goldwyn said, “Michael’s vast experience in the creative production aspects of filmmaking make him the ideal person for this position, as Paramount moves ahead in the changed production climate of the ’90s.”
A 23-year veteran of the film industry, Tadross has held numerous film positions, from actor and camera trainee to assistant film editor and second assistant director.
He has served as producer, unit production manager and assistant director on more than 30 feature films and TV movies, including “Ghost,””Black Rain” (also a Jaffe/Lansing film), “Coming to America,””Cocktail,””Masquerade,””Deadly Illusion,””Return of the Saint” and “Intimate Strangers.”
