This article was corrected on October 19, 1992. Headline in Friday’s paper gave the wrong title for Nostalgia Network president and chief operating officer Charles Bush.Nostalgia Network named chief financial officer Charles Bush president and chief operating officer, a title previously held bychairman Michael Marcovsky. In his expanded role, Bush will be in charge of the financial, business affairs and investor relations departments. The advertising sales, marketing and affiliate sales arms also report to Bush. Marcovsky, who previously held the presidential title in addition to the title of chairman, will place more emphasis on network programming with Bush’s elevation. Since March, Bush has been assuming wider responsibility at Nostalgia Television, which has been on a drive to increase its subscriber base beyond its current 14 million level. Like many cable nets, Nostalgia has been hurt by the severe shortage of capacity currently plaguing the industry. Bush will now put more emphasis on selling operators on the merits of its service, which provides programming to viewers ages 45 and up, a fast-growing population segment. Bush came to Nostalgia in January 1991 from Max Factor & Co., where he served as VP, treasurer and corporate controller.
