Todd P. Leavitt has been promoted to exec VP of planning and operations at NBC Prods. He will continue to run daily operations of the in-house production division while assuming expanded responsibility for strategic planning in areas such as international co-productionsand ancillary markets.
Leavitt, who joined NBCP as senior VP in April 1990, will continue to report to NBC Enterprises president John Agoglia. Before taking the network post, he spent three years as executive VP at Reeves Entertainment Group and before that served as chief operating officer at D.L. Taffner Ltd.
NBC Prods. has expanded its operations over the last year, producing most of the web’s Saturday-morning lineup, assuming production auspices on “The Tonight Show” when Jay Leno became host in May and providing the network with four current prime time series: “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,””Here and Now,””Out All Night” and “Secret Service.”
