Diane Maguire has been named vice president of human resources at Comcast Cable Communications in Philadelphia, succeeding Paul Gilbert, who was promoted to VP of human resources for Comcast Corp.
Gil Aronow has been appointed VP and senior counsel, law and business affairs , VH-1.
Aronow was formerly senior counsel, law and business affairs, MTV Networks. With his new post, Aronow will concentrate on VH-1’s negotiations in areas such as trademark activities, advertising sales, merchandising and licensing agreements. He will also assist in negotiation of development contracts and record company agreements for MTV.
Jim Surmanek has been named senior veep and director of client services of Intl. Communications Group, Los Angeles, a new post. Surmanek is the former director of new business development and exec media director of McCann-Erickson in Los Angeles.
John F. Anderson has been promoted from director to VP of real estate for Fox Inc.’s Fox Studio Operations.
Licet Ariza has been promoted to the post of assistant director of press relations for the National Cable Television Assn.
Jerry Liddell has been named the line producer for ABC’s “Good Morning America/Sunday” which is set to launch Jan. 3, 1993. Most recently, Liddell was running his own company, Doubleheart Communications.
George W. Bodenheimer has been upped to VP, affiliate sales and marketing, for ESPN, where he will oversee all of the network’s affiliate sales and marketing activities.
