Mark Lindsay has been appointed director of sales for Spelling Films Intl. He will report to Dawn Handler, senior VP of sales.

Lindsay joins SFI from Odyssey Distributor Ltd., a unit of ComEnt Inc., where he was VP of sales and responsible for the international market. Prior to Odyssey, Lindsay was manager of collections at Lorimar Pictures.

Fredric Weissman has joined Columbia Pictures TV as director, publicity, overseeing various network series. Weissman was most recent manager, media services, at NBC, having been at the network since 1985.

Phillip Gonzales has joined Lorimar TV as a senior publicist, responsible for publicity on various series. Gonzales was most recently manager of publicity at Fox Broadcasting Co., where he has worked since 1987.

Thea Diserio has been promoted to senior vice president of New World Intl., a newly created position overseeing TV and homevideo sales in all foreign territories. Diserio was most recently veepee of international television, having joined New World as a manager in 1986, assuming her most recent post three years later.
