In a restructuring of its international TV wing, Paramount announced yesterday that Patrick Stambaugh has been upped to VP of European sales.Additionally, David Coombes was named manager of European/Middle Eastern sales and Julie Wineberg was upped to manager of African/Caribbean sales. The appointments follow the departure of two Par vets. Stambaugh, the manager of European sales since 1984, will succeed Peter Cary. The exec is retiring after 30 years with Par TV. Coombes will oversee markets in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe that were formerly handled by Stambaugh. He will also handle Middle Eastern markets that previously belonged to Jean Pullen, who is retiring after nearly 27 years with Par. Wineberg’s promotion comes after four years as manager of international sales in the Bermuda office. In addition to overseeing the African and Caribbean markets, she will also manage day-to-day administrative functions.
