Vet to o'see promotion of off-net p'gramming, specials

Tom Connor has been upped to VP of creative services for Paramount Domestic TV after serving as exec director of advertising and promotion since 1989.

In his new post, the five-year vet of the company will continue to be responsible for promotion of all off-net programming and special projects, with added responsibility for firstrun fare. He also will oversee the wing’s involvement with the Paramount stations group.

CBS has confirmed the appointments of Michael Healy and Ruthe Benton as directors of motion pictures for TV at CBS Entertainment, reporting to movies and miniseries VP John Matoian. Healy most recently held a similar post at Reeves Entertainment, while Benton has been VP at the Avnet-Kerner Co. since last year.
