The Australian Film Commission’s London-based director of marketing, Sue Murray, has relocated to Sydney as part of an organizational rearrangement at the commish.

Murray moved to London two years ago.

Her return also reflects the AFC’s increasing focus on developing the Asian market.

As part of the rejigging, former international market development manager Victoria Treole has moved out of the marketing area to become creative affairs exec, responsible for fostering and developing new talent and production. Former Film Australia staffer Hugh Short is on board as marketing coordinator and Sonja Armstrong has been appointed project coordinator, film development.

A new initiative will be the appointment of a principal adviser, drawn from the industry, to act as a creative consultant to the commish. That’ll be announced in the New Year.
