ICM’s Mendel aboard at UTA

United Talent Agency has confirmed that Barry Mendel has joined the company.

Mendel spent the last four years as an agent in the literary and talent areas of ICM’s motion picture department.

He started in ICM’s mailroom as part of the agent training program (Daily Variety, Nov. 24).

Among Mendel’s clients headed to UTA are Amy Jones, Jessie Nelson, Calder Willingham, Ralph Bakshi, Liberty Godshall, John Stockwell and Scott Fields, Ramsey Fadiman, Jarre Fees, Michael Gaylin and Evgenia Citkowitz.

During his tenure at ICM, Mendel helped package such films as “Rambling Rose, “”The Last of His Tribe,””Indecent Proposal,””The Music of Chance” and Whoopi Goldberg’s upcoming “Corrina, Corrina.”
