En Vogue won four awards to lead the second annual Music Video Producers Assn. Awards, held Saturday night at Universal Studios’ Hitchcock Theatre before more than 300 attendees.

Comedian Jeff Altman was host.

The Atco/EastWest group’s clip for “Free Your Mind,” directed by Mark Romanek and produced by Satellite Films, took top honors in the association’s highest award category, winning the platinum video laurels. En Vogue also took home awards for best choreography, best cinematography and best styling.

Gold award went to Van Halen’s “Right Now,” directed by Mark Fenske and produced by Carolyn Mayer Prods. The silver award went to Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” directed by Samuel Bayer and produced by Straylight Prods.

Stephane Sadnaoui was named best director and Veronique Labels and Oliver Gajan received best editing honors. The Eastman Kodak Award for Special Achievement was given to feature director Russel Mulcahy.
