Shuter named first Frankovich scholar

Columbia TriStar Film Distributors Intl. announced that Debbie Shuter has been named the first Mike Frankovich scholar at the United Kingdom’s National Film & Television School.

Established by Columbia chairman Mark Canton, the scholarship covers tuition and living expenses for the three-year duration of the NFTS producers course. Selection of the award was made by a committee of officers of the NFTS and Columbia TriStar.

The Mike Frankovich award is named in memory of Columbia’s former head of worldwide production.
