Fox Inc. honcho Rupert Murdoch and John Hughes will be in D.C. tonight to host a screening of “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,” which Hughes wrote and produced. Members of Congress and their families have been invited to the screening, which will be held at AMC’s Union Station Theatres.

A reception will follow.

The Jim Rose Circus Sideshow, which toured with the Lollapalooza Festival ’92 and features a collection of body-piercers and maggot eaters, will hold auditions for Los Angeles-based freaks today at noon at the Las Palmas Theatre in Hollywood. Winner will perform with the circus that evening, the first of a three-night stand at the venue.

The Mark Taper Forum has extended its production of Tony Kushner’s “Angels in America” for one additional week. The show will now close Dec. 6.
