Atlantic Records has set Feb. 9 for release of Mick Jagger’s new solo album, “Wandering Spirit.” Produced by Rick Rubin and Jagger, the album includes contributions from Lenny Kravitz, Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Doug Wimbish of Living Colour and keyboardist Billy Preston.

The album will be Jagger’s first solo outing for Atlantic, which distributed the Rolling Stones from 1971-84.

New Line Cinema has acquired the remake rights to Akira Kurosawa’s “Yojimbo,” which shapes up as a $ 10 million project with Arthur Sarkissian slated to produce. Originally released in 1961, “Yojimbo” tells the story of a samurai drifter who teaches a lesson to warring factions of a Japanese village.

The Professional Opportunities Exchange, the Women’s Alliance Network and Circle of Friends will host a champagne reception at Doulan’s restaurant prior to a special screening of “Malcolm X” Monday at the Baldwin Hills Theater.
