The late George Pal’s “Puppetoons” will be honored at 7:30 tonight at the Name That Toon animation gallery/museum in West Hollywood. Original Puppetoons will be on display at the gallery, with guests including Pal’s widow; Puppetoon director and production supervisor Duke Goldstone; and animators who worked on the original pix.

“Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper” star Mark Curry will be allowed to play in an NBA exhibition game between the Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns for a two-part sweeps storyline to air Nov. 10-17. Phoenix’s Charles Barkley and Warriors stars Chris Mullin and Tim Hardaway and coach Don Nelson will be featured on those segments of the ABC series, with Curry playing five minutes in an actual game.

KTTV has skedded the new Fox Television Stations Prods.’ comedy gameshow “Busted,” in which best friends attempt to embarrass each other, in the 5:30-6 p.m. weekday slot as of yesterday. Prospective syndie series is the latest entry from the station group’s production arm and the first since the departure of former FTSP head Stephen Chao from the company.

The Hollywood/Los Angeles chapter of Women of the Motion Picture Industry will hold its annual “meet and greet” sesh for prospective members Sunday, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. For details, call Irma Kraus, (310) 558-7552.
