Oxfam event targets hunger

Nobel Peace Prize winner and indigenous-peoples-rights activist Rigoberta Menchu and a group of Hollywood celebrities will dramatize world hunger at the third Oxfam America Hollywood Hunger Banquet at 7 p.m. on Nov. 19 at Santa Monica Air Center’s Barker Hanger.

The event will be hosted by TriStar chairman Mike Medavoy and Show Coalition’s Patricia Duff Medavoy. Actor Mike Farrell will receive the Oxfam America Partners Award.

General admission is $ 100, VIP tickets are $ 250 and a block of 10 VIP tickets is available for $ 1,500. For more information, call Corrine Levy at ( 310) 393-5600.
