MG signs deal with Hearst

MG Entertainment has signed a non-exclusive agreement with Hearst Entertainment, following five years with Dick Clark Prods. and New Line Cinema.

MG, whose principals are Peter Morgan and Melissa Goddard, still has a number of holdover projects in development with Clark and New Line, including the New Line features “Cub Scouts” and “Senior Trip,” the latter to be produced with Dick Clark and Neil Stearns as exec producers.

MG is also developing a series based on its recent feature “Big Girls Don’t Cry” in association with New Line Cinema TV, with Barbara Corday to exec produce. Other MG productions include the New Line release “Poison Ivy,” which starred Drew Barrymore.

The company also has a feature in the works at Touchstone.
