Come September, Warner Bros. TV’s “Love Connection” will oust LBS Communications’ “Family Feud” from the coveted 7:30 p.m. access slot on WNBC-TV New York.

At NATPE last week, WB syndie prez Dick Robertson announced the distrib is pulling “Connection” from Fox-owned WNYW-TV New York, which airs the show in late fringe.

Other prime-access renewals for the program, now entering its ninth season, include KCAL-TV Los Angeles, WCAU-TV Philadelphia, KTVU-TV Oakland-San Francisco and KXTH-TV Houston.

With the move to WNBC, “Love Connection” will likely face competition from “Married … With Children” on WWOR-TV New York.

With the addition of “Love Connection” to its sked, WNBC program director Judy Gerard confirmed that the station is considering a move to a double-access block from 7 to 8 p.m. this fall. Sources noted, however, that Gerard faces resistence from the station’s news department.
