War Causes TNT Pic Rethink

All library films at Turner Network Television are being reviewed to see if they are appropriate to be aired during the war with Iraq. Already yanked at TNT were “Submarine D1” and “Hellcats Of The Navy.” Scrubbed war films are being subbed with light entertainment fare, according to Dennis Miller, TNT exec v.p.

Separately, Bob Levi, TBS superstation exec v.p., confirmed plans for a “007 Days Of 007” fest of 12 James Bond films, March 4 to 10. They’ll be shown in primetime in what Levi described as “enhanced Sony Digital D-2,” a process used to enhance “Gone With The Wind” during its 50th anniversary showing.
