P&G Says No To ‘Fame’ Spec

Procter & Gamble Prods, has withdrawn its sponsorship from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ upcoming “Television Hall Of Fame” spec, scheduled for June on NBC. Sources also say that ATAS is exploring the possibility of another broadcast or cable net airing the show, since NBC may be reluctant to proceed sans sponsor.

P&G reportedly made the move based on a tightening of its media budget because of the sluggish economy.
