Sherman Lebrun Kunkel, 71, longtime tv cinematographer and member of the American Society of Cinematographers, died Feb. 10 in Reno, Nev., following a heart attack.

A Los Angeles native, Kunkel worked as a cinematographer on such programs as “Baretta,” “Mash,” “Hawaii Five-0,” “Magnum, P.I.,” “Fame,” “Hart To Hart,” “Canterville Ghost,” “Valerie” and “Perfect Strangers.”

Survived by his wife, Betty; sons John, a camera operator, and Jeffrey Sherman, a dolly grip; daughter Janice O’Connor, formerly a stand-in and extra; and sister Betty Elise, formerly of Republic Studios.
