Landon Herrick

Landon Herrick, 85, who acted with the Civic Repertory Theater in New York, died Jan. 10 in Cambridge, Mass., of a heart attack.

He was best known for his performance as the Mad Hatter in “Alice In Wonderland.”

Besides being a playwright and poet, Herrick worked as a university librarian. Earlier in his career, he had worked as a reporter at the Stamford (Conn.) Advocate and the Scottsdale (Ariz.) Tattler. While working for station KTYL Mesa, Ariz., Herrick directed plays for the Morman Church.

Survived by his wife, Denise; son, Robert Conrad Herrick; and two grandchildren.
