Irma Chernichaw

Irma Chernichaw, former actress and comedian, died Jan. 17 in Teaneck, N.J., after a long illness.

She had appeared with the Metropolitan Opera, the New York City Center Opera and in summer stock and regional theater outfits.

She performed comedy in NEW YORK and New Jersey clubs and in the borscht belt, and she taught improvisational comedy in the tri-state area.

Survived by her husband, Nathan, sons Mark and Neil and two grandsons.
