Dan Kagel

Dan Kagel, 73, former director of administration for the ad-pub-promo department of Universal Pictures, died Dec. 18 of cancer.

He joined MCA as an employee of San Francisco’s Winterland in 1939, transferring to Los Angeles in 1965 to join the administrative staff of the Universal Studios Tour. In 1970 he transferred to the film division, where he remained until his retirement in 1985.

Survived by his wife, Rosalind, two sons and three grandchildren.
