Christopher Dryhurst, 57, assistant director, died Jan. 15 in London following a brief illness.

He started as a personal assistant to the controller of programming at Rediffusion Television in 1960.

As a first assistant director, he worked on such films as “The Small World Of Sammy Lee,” “Seance On A Wet Afternoon,” “The Nanny,” “Othello,” “The Wrong Box” and “Dutchman.”

Survived by his son, Nick, and brother, Michael, a Los Angeles-based producer.
