A three-day symposium on the cultural boycott of South Africa – scheduled to begin Feb. 1 in Los Angeles – has been postponed. The symposium, rescheduled for April, will be sponsored by the United Nations Center Against Apartheid and the city of Los Angeles.

Christina Galante, special adviser to the U.N., said the symposium was postponed “in view of the immediacy of the situation in the Middle East.”
