Brit helmer Franc Roddam has joined forces with commercials producer Brad Adams to form a development company that will foster projects in film, television and video. The venture, Union Pictures, is backed Greater London Enterprises (GLE) Development Capital to the tune of £1.2 million.
Per Roddam, Union will put projects into production with other studios, broadcasters and publishers, but hopes eventually to raise a production fund of its own.
Roddam expects Union to develop 10 feature films and 15 tv projects over the next two years, as well as a host of made-for-video productions and related special-interest books. Venture could even get involved in merchandising.
