With an eye on the crush of participants expected to attend the 41st Berlin festival in the newly unified city, Werner Gondolf, the fest’s head of organization and logistics, has moved the press center from the cramped Cine’ Center to the Kongresshalle, a conference center in Tiergarten Park.

The Kongresshalle contains two cinemas, a 1,000-seater and a 550-seater. Press screenings and press conferences will be held there, and the facility also has a 500-seat restaurant.

A special shuttle bus and extra buses on the regular lines have been organized by the fest for the 12-minute trek between the Cine-Center and the Kongresshalle. Also this year, accredited guests will receive a pass enabling them to use public transport free of charge during the fest.
