All those devotees of the Sundance Institute who were making snowballs all weekend to fire at Premiere mag exec editor Peter Biskind will have to aim them at someone else. Biskind, who wrote a scathing Premiere article about mismanagement at the Institute, has abruptly changed plans to attend this week’s Sundance Film Festival. So angry were the backers of Sundance that they refunded Premiere’s $10,000 sponsorship fee, and practically booted the mag off the slopes of Park City, Utah. Biskind swore to Buzz he didn’t cancel because of the frosty reception he would have received: “I’m going to Acapulco to do an assignment on Martin Short. Two long trips back to back would have been too much. But I’m sure there are some people who would have heaved snowballs at me,” he acknowledged.
