There are 37 foreign releases up for Oscars. Most will get a better reception than Czechoslovakian effort “Vojtech Called Orphan” did at its first Academy screening in Hollywood last week.
After about 10 minutes, film was canceled amid audience shouts: No subtitles, which, per a spokesman, Academy rules require. Wrong print was mailed, but the Czech pic won’t be held in check. A new print has been received; pic was reskedded.
