Two Shows To Close

“Once on This Island” will end its Broadway run after the Dec. 1 matinee. The tuner, which opened Oct. 18,1990, will have played 19 previews and 469 performances at the Booth Theater. It premiered Off Broadway at Playwrights Horizons in May 1990 before its Broadway transfer. A national tour is planned, to begin in Chicago next March.

“The Good Times are Killing Me,” Lynda Barry’s Off Broadway play, will close at the Minetta Lane Theater Nov. 24. The show opened at the Second Stage Theater last April, moving to the larger Minetta Aug. 8.
