Two Indie Film Panels At American Pavilion

Producers and directors will take part in two Independent Feature Project panel discussions and a press conference during the Cannes Festival at the American Pavilion.

Among participants slated to participate in the first panel discussion, “New Kids on the Block,” are David Whitten of Greycat Films; Marcus Hu of Strand Releasing; Triton’s Jonathan Dana and Marcie Bloom of Orion Classics. Moderated by film prod Jim Stark and sponsored by Eastman Kodak, the seminar is to be held on May 13.

Scheduled to field questions at a press conference called “American Directors” at Cannes are Spike Lee, Mark Manos, Peter Sellars and Adrian Valicescu. Moderated by film critic Roger Ebert and sponsored by Eastman Kodak, the press conference will be held on May 15.

On May 16, a “Film Festival Round-Up” will feature: Richard Pena, New York Film Festival; Michael Kutza, Chicago Film Festival; Mark Fishkin, Mill Valley Film Festival; Gregory von Hausch, Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival & Market and Robert Cazzalle, Virginia Festival of American Films.
