Houston Firm Sues MGM/Pathe

A Houston production company has sued MGM/Pathe Communications for allegedly failing to make payments and provide accountings under a distribution agreement covering the film “Keaton’s Cop.”

Third Coast Entertainment, in a complaint filed in L.A. Federal Court, says it is owed $96,116.06 under a settlement agreement made last March. Third Coast also claims that MGM/Pathe and its predecessors reneged on a promise to pay a $2 million guarantee for the film by wrongfully deducting $266,354.72 and failing to provide regular accountings of the film’s revenues.
