Gibson, Warners In $60 Mil Deal

Mel Gibson reportedly has closed a four-picture acting pact and first-look development/production deal with Warner Bros. in what sources describe as a “uniquely structured” agreement potentially valued at $60 million.

The pact includes Gibson starring in “Lethal Weapon III” and starring in and producing the love story fantasy-comedy “The Rest Of Daniel.” Richard Donner will direct the third installment of his “Lethal Weapon” series, and it is believed he will direct The Rest Of Daniel.” Sources say before the actor initiates the new Warners deal he has committed to star in “Renegades,” a Western for Carolco/Indieprod, though that project is still without a director.
