MCA/Universal Home Video is back in the musicvideo business after a nearly two-year hiatus. It had backed away from the format when sister division MCA Records began prepping vidcassette releases for artists on MCA and affiliated labels.

The new MCA/U musicvid programming was acquired from Castle Entertainment in the U.K. First two programs feature Belinda Carlisle and Luciano Pavarotti. The Carlisle tape was released last month at $19.95 suggested retail. The Pavarotti release is slated for March 28 at $29.95.

In the works for a fall release is a retrospective about the Doors, and the company’s “The Doors – Dance On Fire” and “The Doors – Live At The Hollywood Bowl” are being repromoted to tie in with Oliver Stone’s Tri-Star/Carolco pic on Jim Morrison.
