Cobra is a sleek, extremely violent and exciting police thriller.

Sylvester Stallone is cast as unconventional cop Marion Cobretti, nickname Cobra, who with partner Gonzales (Reni Santoni) works the LA zombie squad, doing jobs no other cops will do. They’re called in to track down a serial killer who’s claimed 16 victims in a month. They protect the one surviving witness, a beautiful model (Brigitte Nielsen) and discover that the killer is actually a neo-fascist army of killers.

Director George Pan Cosmatos tightens the screws for a very fast ride. His low-key personality defined by his funny throwaway lines of dialog, Stallone’s Cobra is a far more ingratiating character than his recent Rocky and Rambo guises.
