Story of a small party headed by Patrick Wayne seeking a marooned World War I naval hero north of the ice barrier in the Arctic. Film is second in Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Lost World trilogy lensed in the Canary Islands and in Britain.

Special effects predominate the action as Wayne and his group leave their ship in a 1918 amphibian through ice-cluttered water and perilously lift over towering ice peaks, are attacked by a giant pterodactyl and forced to crash-land on the dusty island of Caprona.

Again, special effects add to the suspense as the group encounter all manner of hair-raising beasties and erupting fire in braving the dangers of the cavemen in an attempt to find their quarry.
