Review: ‘Taste the Blood of Dracula’

The setting is in Victorian England, on London's fringes and concerns three hypocritical, erotic old buffers who, sated by their dingy little orgies in the East End, look for bigger, more lustful thrills.

The setting is in Victorian England, on London’s fringes and concerns three hypocritical, erotic old buffers who, sated by their dingy little orgies in the East End, look for bigger, more lustful thrills.

They get entangled with one of Dracula’s disciples and, with the aid of the blood of Dracula and some of his ‘props’, sold to them by a wise peddler, they start to dabble in Black Mass and Satanic ritual. They bump off Dracula’s messenger in terror and Dracula swears to dispose of the three men.

From then on, it’s the old routine of Dracula causing death and disaster, upsetting the families by abducting daughters and turning one of them into a vampire and generally making himself a thundering evil nuisance.
