  2. Doc VB says:

Coming next from your friends at NBC: “Lost In Space” – an irreverent look at a futuristic family and their loveable robot with a “chicken little complex” that took a wrong turn at Uranus.

  3. Shatner?!?!?! That guy is has the acting range of a bakelite telephone! They should Have hired that Jack Lord fella This show is doomed, it will never catch on.

  4. When a friend of mine was just a kid in 1966, her parents would not let her watch the show because of Spock. They told her Spock was a demon.

  6. Sgt Hank says:

  7. Just Some Dude says:

Looks interesting but I’m betting it doesn’t last more than five seasons. It’ll probably do better in syndication…

  8. Chris says:

Why are they posting a story dated March of 1966!!! What are they playing at????

  9. Jay says:

    Dammit, Spock. I said 2014…not 1966!

  10. Bob from Rochester says:

Oh my word…hippies in space! This looks like a show made by communists and other leftists. NBC should be ashamed of themselves. To think that the channel that airs my favorite show Bonanza could air this drek makes me quite sick. Thank you for the warning Variety. You can be certain that I’ll be writing a letter to the head of NBC!

    • Paul Maul says:

Hippies? They all have short hair and are wearing uniforms. Obviously, in the future the military-industrial complex wins. This is a dystopic warning. I for one will tune in, turn on and drop out, maaan!

  11. Bud Baker says:

It well never make as a series be lucky to make it past 1 season. “It’s About Time” now that’s TV it will last forever.

Dammit Jim! We;ve gone back in time to 1966. When do the Microsoft and Apple shares IPO?

  14. misterron says:

Sounds a lot like Wagon Train, only in space…

  15. marcusk says:

Sounds interesting. If it becomes popular we can call fans Trekkies. Don’t know about William Shatner. Pretty risky going with an unknown actor.

  16. Flax Seed says:

Little know fact. The year Star Trek TOS was cancelled was the last year Nielsen ratings were based on sheer volume. The next year Nielsen started using demographics. Paramount then learned the ST was huge in the key demo of 18+ males. Oops.

  17. GarryD says:

Taking bets on when they’ll drop it.

  18. Old Hippie says:

Whoa…I’m having a major flashback here!!!
